This article walks supervisors and coordinators through the Family Model's data entry goals that are used during data quality check-ins.
Local site staff and national center staff use the ParentChild+ data quality framework to measure data quality within their respective organizations. To assist in workflow management, we design data entry goals to specify data entry expectations for our entire network; however, they do not serve as performance standards.
The purpose of listing each data entry goal is to provide coordinators and early learning specialists with the essential information on data entry goals so they can quickly find what they need to know to stay on track.

Reminder about using external databases
Often, local sites are required to enter data into an external database. In those cases, we recommend the local sites work with their data support team member and state director to schedule a data file share each January. The data file share eliminates duplicate data entry and ensures the local site meets data collection requirements. The data file share ensures the local site meets data collection requirements without having to enter the same information into DAISY. For example, if your site requires you to enter visits into another database, you will not have to enter visits into DAISY. What this looks like in practice varies depending on the data type and source. This is why we strongly recommend sending a sample data file before the data file share in January.
